August 2025: Release Notes
As our team continues to develop the Knowledge Hub—a resource center for business processes and PMIS guidelines - I wanted to update everyone on the latest enhancements to our suite of Kahua applications.
All Applications
Multi-Language Support: French language support has been added across all superset apps. Users can switch languages by navigating to My Settings > Default Language and selecting French, which updates all labels accordingly. Work is underway to add Spanish support next.
OOTB Reports: All out-of-the-box reports have been migrated to DevExpress. Existing customers with Stimulsoft reports can continue using them, but new reports will be built in DevExpress.
Portable Views: All Portable Views (PVs) have been converted from Stimulsoft to Microsoft Word format. This promotes standardization and enables Domain Admins to make necessary adjustments without needing Configuration Consultants.
Submittals Suite
Submittals Suite app settings, previously scattered across multiple pages and between Submittal Items and Submittal Packages, are now centralized in Configuration > Submittal Packages > Submittals Configuration.
Overdue Notification Enabled: When activated, this sends a notification to the submitter if a Submittal Item misses its scheduled submission date.
Allow Package Number Change: When enabled, users can modify a Submittal Package number as long as no submittal items exist in the package.
Allow Submitter to Create Records: When enabled, submitters can create new Submittal Item records in existing packages. When disabled, they can only edit and submit assigned records.
Final Reviewer Enabled: When activated, users must select a final reviewer to assess comments from the reviewer table as the last step. When disabled, the final review defaults to the submittal coordinator.
Ability to Enable/Disable Workflows in Configuration: Administrators can now toggle workflows on or off in the submittals configuration. Only enabled workflows appear as options in the Submittal Packages and Submittal Items apps.
Tracking of Review Duration and Rework Duration: Submittal Items now track Review Duration (days under review by the coordinator and reviewers) and Rework Duration (time with the submitter after revisions are returned).
Display “Multiple” for Ball in Court When There Are Multiple Tasks Out: The Ball in Court field shows "Multiple" when several users are reviewing a Submittal Item simultaneously.
Assertion for Review Period in Timed Workflow: In Timed Review workflows, submittal coordinators receive an error if they start a review without specifying a review period for each reviewer.
Quality Suite
The primary focus of the enhancements to the Quality Suite of apps was integrating the NCR app with the Performance Management Suite, which enables escalating NCRs to Performance Failure Events.
Added functionality to create a Performance Failure Event (PFE) from a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) record.
Introduced settings for Due Date Offset and Objection Due Date Offset:
Due Date Offset: Sets the Due Date as [Current Date] + [Due Date Offset], which is the deadline for the To Contact to respond to the NCR.
Objection Due Date Offset: Sets the Objection Due Date as [Current Date] + [Due Date Offset], which is the deadline for the To Contact to object to the NCR if desired.
Variation Suite
The following configuration settings have been added to each app in the Variation Suite:
Auto Assign Due Date / Due Date Offset: When Auto Assign Due Date is enabled, the Due Date Offset appears for draft Variation Records. Upon submission, the Due Date is calculated as [Current Date] + [Due Date Offset].
Allow Admins to Edit Closed Records: When enabled, Domain Admins can edit or modify Variation records even after they are closed or progression to the next step in the change management process.
Cost Units: Cost units are now available in variation apps, allowing users to view cost amounts in the Work Breakdown app.
Input Types in Items Table: Input fields in the items table adapt based on the selected Payment Method. For "Unit Cost," users enter Quantity, Unit of Measurement, and Unit Price (with totals auto-calculated). For "Lump Sum," users enter only the Total amount per item.
