Submittal Management Suite

The Submittals Management Suite replaces the OOTB Kahua Submittals module with a highly structured and workflow-driven process. This process is enables the owner organization to develop submittal packages that align to contractual deliverables, assign expected submission dates, define workflows and submitters for each package (select between four different workflows), and track and report on package completion. It streamlines submittal management and administration with functionality to easily update the assigned submitter, document controller, final reviewer, distribution list, reviewers, and workflow type for all submittals from the package. The Submittals Management suite is comprised of two applications:

Submittal Packages

Collection of project deliverables that may include drawings, documents, reports, samples, permits, or other documents submitted by the service provider to the project owner or manager for review and approval, demonstrating that work or materials comply with project requirements and specifications. A Submittal Package may contain multiple Submittal Items, that may be submitted at different periods throughout the project execution. Each Submittal Item within the Package inherits the package number as a prefix to its own item number, as well as identification for the following: submittal coordinator, submitter, final reviewer / approver, reviewer contacts, review workflow, and instruction to reviewers.

Submittal Items

Individual components of a submittal package, each representing a specific design drawing, report, or other document for which approval is sought. They may have a contractually defined scheduled submission date and may be revised based on the review response provided by the project owning organization.
